Research Question 3 Possible Questions How can social media save lives? How can innovated and new technology help save the planet? How do influencers become famous? Responses from friends  Reflecting on the overall trends I found, I think one pretty consistent thing throughout was how question two provoked a more personal affiliation. My friends know my dedication to the environment and so hearing that it is a possible thing to research, I think they knew I'd write the best blog as it's something I'm passionate about. The correlation between my home state (as said from friend number two) would make "something local cool" to research.  Friend one also talked about how this would be a "very 'me' question" which makes it seem favorable out of the three. In addition, the response to talking about social media was overall negative. I think it was interesting to hear the negative association all three of my friends had with social media, and how quest...

Pencil Article Today’s generation is fully immersed in digital technology, leaving the perception that the past technique of writing with pencils is no longer impactful. However, a store in lower Manhattan combats this digital immersion, bringing back the pencil in a way that even the newest generations can come to appreciate. Ms. Weaver, who tends to the shop, reveals how there’s a different pencil for everyone, from crossword puzzle pencils with pointy erasers, to authentic graphite pencils from the 1950’s. Whatever the need is, this store has a way of bringing the past into the future, with an aesthetic that “is begging to be Instagrammed” as says so on the website.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VeKnCkoQHE8 BBC’s video on using possible forest fire kindling as a way of taking carbon out of the air: Looking at climate change and carbon emissions in the air is often seen as something negative and troubling on our planet. Four Creative Spins on Old and New Technology Cleaner for your Hair- and the Earth- National Geographic's encouragement of shampoo bars        National Geographic is a source that is known for nature advocacy and education of our planet. So, you could imagine my surprise when I clicked on an article that was focused around beauty products. However, once I got reading, I found the article was educating on the innovation of shampoo, the shampoo bar, and why everyone should be a convert. The short and simple article highlights how shampoo bars reduce plastic, last longer than a bottle, and are often qualified to be natural and cruelty free. Not to mention how "TSA isn't going to take soap that's in bar form and a shampoo bar won't ruin your clothes." Overall the article remarks on the handful of good outcomes that the shampoo bar will bring you, your luggage, and the earth, including their recommendations of which to use and why.      Examining the art...

My Major Love for the Beatles If someone were to tell me that I would score better than 68% of people taking a quiz on the Beatles , I'd would probably tell you that's not a surprise. I have always gravitated towards the iconic band's sounds (as there is definitely more than one), knowing that the demographic I share my love with would most likely be middle aged dads along with my grandparents.  Seeing that the band will truly go down in history for many years, there are some more mainstream songs like "Hey, Jude" and "Yellow Submarine" that will always get clout. But when you get to lesser known material, Gen Z as a whole seems to fall off knowledge-wise. I think it's funny the pride that older generations have around knowing the Beatles so well. Sure, I would've killed to brag about seeing them live, or discovering them while they were singing one of their first hit singles "I Wanna Hold Your Hand", but I can't blame some of my p...
