 The Impact of Reddit In the second WBUR podcast, titled Turning Hate on the Internet Into Social Commentary  , there was a lot of discussion on how Reddit can be an environment catered directly to whatever you want it to; this includes inappropriate matters. Though the podcast meets this with humor, Reddit is a good example of how you can have access to almost anything with a few clicks. One example of this is the freedom of expression which was talked about in this podcast episode. The podcast episode opens with talking about the different (rather shocking) usernames on reddit and how they lead to attracting misleading interactions. As I clicked on Reddit myself, within a matter of seconds I was introduced to account names such as "white people twitter", which was clearly satirically calling out white people being racist, but to the wrong audience, the nuanced 'humor' could be misleading young viewers to think that the actions of these people's tweets are accept...

The Relationship Between Graphic Novels and Technology   The idea of a graphic novel being technology helps expand the concept of technology altogether to me. I picked the graphic novel nineteen , which is about a 20 year old looking back on her childhood in a coming- of-age styled story. Technology is used to help humans convey, experiment, and learn, so calling this graphic novel technology is very suiting. The story is technology that helps kids and young adults learn and connect. This graphic novel can be used as guidance for those struggling to understand what it is to grow up, while doing so in an entertaining and comical way.   Not only would I consider the graphic novel itself technology, but it also used technology in order to make the illustrations.        Technology has made being environmentally friendly much easier through innovation of old practices as well as new inventions.      In modern- day society, we have been graced with many different inventions that make our lives easier from day to day. Though convenient, as we do more and more research, we are seeing the effects of these inventions in our atmosphere. Whether it be single- use plastic or fossil fuels, our population is met with the dilemma of convenience vs. eco- friendliness. As a result, we are faced with problems such as climate change and global warming. Though many currently have a pessimistic outlook, there are plenty of brains on the hunt to find ways to help our planet.
