 Inquiry: How can innovative technology help save the planet? Four Creative Spins on Old and New Technology Cleaner for your Hair- and the Earth- National Geographic's encouragement of shampoo bars        National Geographic is a source that is known for nature advocacy and education of our planet. So, you could imagine my surprise when I clicked on an article that was focused around beauty products. However, once I got reading, I found the article was educating on the innovation of shampoo, the shampoo bar, and why everyone should be a convert. The short and simple article highlights how shampoo bars reduce plastic, last longer than a bottle, and are often qualified to be natural and cruelty free. Not to mention how "TSA isn't going to take soap that's in bar form and a shampoo bar won't ruin your clothes." Unit 2 Library

In general, I grew up with the context that the library is a social place full of activities and education. I would walk to the library after school with my friends. So, growing up being exposed to the libraries at home, having Bird Library is a great place to feel comfortable doing work quietly and enjoying an environment full of many resources. My first time at Bird was actually due to their coffee being popular. I love a good latte and was feeling tired. I expected to walk in, get the latte, and go back to my dorm to do work, but found a nice booth and laid my stuff out to study. From then on I found a lot of enjoyment in going out to a new environment to do my work, and associating the library with productivity.  As technology became more prominent growing up, I found enjoyment in libraries expanding past books and having resources such as public computers and Virtual Reality sets as Bird does.
